Safareig is a word meaning old laundry of stone to hand-wash clothes. This is still present even if not used in my old village, in Catalonia. This installation of a hanger withouth clothes and wooden clamps hanging projecting a light in the roof reflects the invisible work of women hardly handwashing clothes and carrying it day after day during centuries in my region hometown.
