From 2018 to 2021 I undertook an artistic research on the Hannah Arendt former house in Heidelberg, Schlossberg, 16 street, where nowadays there are only the walls.
I work with several records on video and photo, walking week after week from her house to the house of Karl Jaspers, Philosopher and Phd Director of Hannah Arendt thesis defended in 1928 at University of Heidelberg,  with a gaze around the surroundings of the city of Heidelberg.
I want to highlight the emptiness of this space for the memory in Europe after her forced exile to the USA fleeing nazism.
I consider this historical site a place for remembrance for the humankind.
"It requires courage even to leave the protective security of our four walls and enter the public realm, not because of particular dangers which may lie in wait for us, but because we have arrived in a realm where the concern for life has lost its validity. Courage liberates men from their worry about life for the freedom of the world. Courage is indispensable because in politics not life but the world is at stake".
