1980 I was born in Lleida. After living in Barcelona, Heidelberg and Brussels, I recently came back to my hometown. I grew up in Ripollet a working-class village near Barcelona, where I learnt the values of solidarity and effort, which are still present in my life. I have a twofold education in law and art, both my passions. I like writing in order to think about human rights, freedom, memory, and fiction. In my work there are two authors as key referents: George Orwell and Hannah Arendt for their contribution to culture, dissent, and the fight against totalitarianism.

In 2016 I obtained my PhD in Law (UNED). The opportunity to live and work abroad has been relevant for me: In 2018 I moved to Heidelberg, a city that I loved, where I wrote the most part of my book Human Rights Defenders and the Law: A Constitutional and International Legal Approach published by Routledge (2023) while being a Visiting Researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative Law and International Law with several research stays. In 2020 I set my studio in Brussels as jurist and artist.

Lecturing and doing research are for me a way of sharing knowledge and critical thinking. I taught on Freedom of Expression and Journalistic Ethics, Constitutional Law, Human Rights and Artistic Research at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, the Open University of Catalonia and the School of Art and Design EINA. Nowadays, I’m happy to begin a new journey as Lecturer on Gender and Human Rights at the UNIR for this next course 2024-2025.

My last project is a novel: a dystopia about climate change to be published by Malas Artes Editorial-Bunker Books.
